Thursday Afternoon: We Visit the Wenzt Medical Clinic

Our final activity on Thursday was a visit to the Wentz Medical Centre in Ggaba.  Wentz Medical Center is a health services facility licensed by  the Uganda Medical and Dental practitioners Council for provision of medical services  as a Level IV hospital.  It is also the location of the Ugandan Buy-a-Net office.

There we were met by Doctor Martin Nkundeki who gave us a full tour.  Debra took a particular interest in the dental clinic which is in desperate need of updating.  She plans to secure funds for this project upon her return to Canada.

    I was at the dentist this week and just take for granted the health care that I have at my finger tips. Thanks for reminding us how fortunate we are here in Canada and also how much need there is in other countries such as Uganda.
