On Sunday, February 12th, the Buy-a-Net "voluntour" group attended a lively church service in the local village of Ggaba. The service began with enthusiastic singing by the entire congregation comprised of women, men and children. The atmosphere was very positive and upbeat and the rhythms and beat reminded me more of a U2 concert than a Canadian church service. It was dark in the church resulting in the darkened images included today. This darkness was compounded by the arrival of an unexpected rain storm, the first in months in the area. The rain did not last long but was much needed and valued by the local community.
