Happy Valentine's Chickens

On the way to Kawempe yesterday we saw these chickens scavenging beside the road.  The traffic was so heavy that I had time to jump out of the van and take this shot.  There were two women digging the soil nearby.  It appears as though they may have been preparing the ground for planting.  Mind you this is in a major city and the strip of land is slim.  They seem to use every bit of land here and I saw, what appeared to be, melon vines growing nearby.
